6 Tips to Make Weeknight Meals Easier

Let’s face it, weeknights are TOUGH! Putting your feet up at the end of a long day probably sounds more enticing than putting a 5-course dinner on the table. Thankfully there are a few things you can do that just might allow you to put your feet up WHILE dinner is cooking!

WHAT TO DO BEFORE THE WEEK BEGINS

1. Stock your fridge, freezer, and pantry with pre-cut and pre-washed produce for easier meal planning and quicker meals.

2. Make a plan of what you will make each night to reduce brain fog on weeknights.

3. Pull meat and casseroles from the freezer, and place them in the refrigerator. Now these items will be ready for you, when you are ready for them.

WHAT TO DO ON WEEKNIGHTS

1. Let your oven, crockpot, or instapot do the cooking for you. (spppt, this is where the “throw your feet up while dinner cooks itself” part comes in!) For more tips on crockpot cooking, check out the article on Slow Cooker Safety from the Dinner Tonight team.

2. Recruit children and other family members to help make salads, set the table, or pour drinks.

3. Clean dishes and countertops as you to reduce after-meal cleaning.

Now go momma. Go enjoy the weeknight with your family!
